Düsseldorf Quant Talk - Theory Meets Practice

Welcome

The “Düsseldorf Quant Talk – Theory Meets Practice” lecture series is organized by the Chair of Financial and Actuarial Mathematics. Its main focus is to bridge the gap between theory and practice.

Established researchers in financial and actuarial mathematics present their latest work and discuss its practical implications.

In addition, the series serves as a regular community event, bringing together the Düsseldorf Quant Community—professionals from the regional finance and insurance industries as well as students in the Financial and Actuarial Mathematics program—for networking and exchange.

The events take place at the Haus der Universität on Schadowplatz, in the heart of Düsseldorf’s city center. After each talk, a get-together offers participants and speakers the opportunity for informal discussions and personal interaction, fostering a direct exchange of knowledge between academia and industry.

The series is supported and funded by industry partners.

The Düsseldorf Quant Talk always takes place from 5-6 p.m., followed by a get-together and finger food catering. Participation is free of charge. Registration is required via the registration form.
